The ever-evolving need for new medicines, diagnostics and devices is a critical global challenge with multiple players across business, academia and broader society.  The Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences has been established to facilitate more effective interaction between stakeholders to drive forward development of novel therapeutics. 

This special launch event, hosted by the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Research, Professor Chris Abell will feature talks by leading scientists including:

  • Professor Anne Willis: Director, MRC Toxicology Unit
  • Professor Ian Wilkinson: Head of Experimental Medicine and Immunotherapeutics, Department of Medicine
  • Professor Sabine Bahn: Group Leader, Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology
  • Dr Jason Witherington: Head of the Kiinib Discovery Performance Unit (DPU), GSK

The talks will be followed by a panel discussion involving senior industry executives as well as University researchers.  The event will close with a networking reception from 6.00pm.
