This meeting will be hosted by the Cambridge Alliance on Medicines Safety and we are delighted to be holding this event at the newly-opened Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre. This meeting will have a special focus on toxicological considerations and safety assessments in the development of therapeutics. The event will begin with a talk from the Director of the MRC Toxicology Unit, Professor Anne Willis OBE who will discuss mitochondrial targeting in the development of novel anticancer agents. This will be followed by talks from Dr Rhiannon David of AstraZeneca and Dr James Thaventhiran of the MRC Toxicology Unit and the CRUK Cambridge Institute.
