Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences

The CATS-Milner Therapeutic Perspectives Series is a panel event which provides expert opinion and thought-provoking discussion around key challenges in translational research. It is aimed at a mixed academic-industry audience and draws on expert speakers from across academia, industry, medicine, investors, policy and funding.

Our next event will focus on the development and use of advanced model systems in biomedical research and how best we can use them to compliment current animal models. The panel will also discuss whether simpler and animal models can still continue to significantly contribute to therapeutic translation in human diseases.

What are the opportunities and challenges of the new technologies providing human model systems for drug discovery?
