Clinical Genomics – From Exciting Technologies to Clinical Adoption

You are invited to register for the next Life Science Leadership Series event hosted by One Nucleus. The event will focus on Clinical Genomics.

Date: 28 March 2018
Time: 10.30 - 18.30
Location: EMBL-EBI, Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton, Cambridge CB10 1SD

Clinical genomics could revolutionise the way medicine is delivered by allowing (i) better characterisation of diseases we currently don’t diagnose; (ii) earlier diagnostics of lethal conditions; and (iii) the concept of patient stratification in order to better understand risks and predict drug responses. But as with all successful revolutions this can’t happen in one day. The tremendous potential health benefits must be balanced with the many barriers to adoption in terms of adapting existing regulatory, reimbursement and care systems to accommodate these technologies.

This event will review areas in which clinical genomics can have a significant impact including rare diseases and cancer. We will discuss how to ensure these technologies reach the widest patient audience possible.

It is aimed at anybody from academia or industry with an interest in genomics and its impact on healthcare delivery.
