This event is part of a series of lectures and workshops forming a Drug Discovery and Development course offered by the Department of Chemistry.
In this lecture, Dr Steve Smith from Syngenta will outline the process used to discover new agrochemicals, from lead generation through to development. The critical roles that chemistry, biology and human & environmental safety play will be illustrated with a number of recent examples.
