Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences

Date: 10 May 2017

Time: 13:30 - 16:30

Venue: Pavilion Room, Hughes Hall, Cambridge, CB1 2EW

Jointly organised by the Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences and the Milner Therapeutics Institute, this event is for University of Cambridge academics, clinicians and early-career researchers and is also open to biotech-based industry professionals.

Successfully navigating the drug discovery pathway, form target identification through to clinical development, relies on the acquisition and use of accurate and often complex data sets.

This training seminar, led by professional drug hunter Dr Olaf Ritzeler from Sanofi, will focus on the data requirements leading to and supporting the key milestones of target credentialing, lead selection and preclinical candidate nomination. Topic areas covered will include chemistry and pharmaceutics; pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics; safety and regulatory issues; and commercial concerns.

The seminar will be split into two parts and will be followed by a networking reception at 4.30pm.
