The next LMB Zoominar will take place on Tuesday 27th July. Sally Temple PhD, Scientific Director, Neural Stem Cell Institute, USA will discuss ‘Using stem cell technology to combat age-related neurodegenerative diseases’. Her team uses stem cell technology to create authentic central nervous system cells valuable to combat neurodegenerative diseases. They have discovered a novel stem cell in the adult human retina that they are harnessing for cell replacement therapy in patients with age-related macular degeneration.
