Are you curious about the start-up world? Could you be an entrepreneur or a future founder? Or maybe you're interested in joining a start-up? EnterpriseTECH helps you build your entrepreneurship skills, understand commercialisation pathways and early-stage business development. In this extra-curricular course, you will:
- Work on a real-world project with fellow students and researchers
- Develop enterprise, business and commercialisation skills
- Feel empowered to start a venture
- Discover how to create impact (social, cultural, economic)
- Grow entrepreneurial and academic network
- Meet industry experts
- Learn how to go from a research-based tech invention into a scalable business
The programmes run for 12 weeks and involve a four-day lecture series and a real-world team project. You will work in a team with students and researchers from other disciplines. With guidance from your business supervisor, your team will produce a commercial feasibility report and a video infomercial and learn how to pitch for maximum impact. After the lectures, the programme runs in the evenings. EnterpriseTECH is primarily for PhD students and postdocs (>75%), although applications from undergraduates and Masters' students are also encouraged.
