This is a short scientific meeting covering aspects of neurodegeneration research to highlight work by groups collaborating with the ALBORADA Drug Discovery Institute. Over the course of a 2-hour meeting there will be three scientific talks and a short introduction to the ALBORADA Drug Discovery Institute highlighting opportunities for collaboration for both academic and industrial groups. The meeting will start with a keynote lecture from Jason Gestwicki of the University of California San Francisco on the role of chaperones in tau proteostasis and will also feature talks from PhD students at the Cambridge Dementia Research Institute on a novel pathway for degradation of fibrillar tau by the ubiquitin-proteasome system and from Inserm, and at the University of Lille on the role of ferroptosis in neurodegeneration. All are welcome to attend.
